CityWeekend is generally pretty good for listings -- there is an events section that&#039;s worth a try.

Also, I&#039;d suggest giving the Bookworm bookstores a bell (there&#039;s one in Beijing and one in Chengdu, phone numbers above). They might be able to point you in the right direction. 

I don&#039;t think there will be many literary events (in English) outside of the festival periods, though. But worth a shot! Enjoy your trip!  // PL</description>
